Merck Supelco amber glass storage bottles are designed for stock solutions, laboratory chemicals, and analytical liquids that benefit from protection against ambient light. Each bottle has a 240 mL capacity, a 24-400 screw-neck thread, and approximate external dimensions of 61 mm diameter by 143 mm height. A black phenolic hole cap with a PTFE-faced silicone septum is supplied preassembled on the bottle. The septum allows needle access for suitable sampling procedures while the amber glass reduces exposure of photosensitive contents to light. The pack includes twelve complete bottles with closures. The bottles are useful for controlled laboratory storage and sample handling, and the configuration is distinct from amber glass bottles sold without caps.
