Answer:Amines and other basic compounds.
Answer:30 m × 0.25 mm internal diameter, with a 1.00 µm stationary-phase film.
Answer:−60 to 320 °C.
Supelco PTA-5 capillary GC column is designed for gas chromatographic separation of amines and other basic organic compounds. The 30 m fused-silica capillary has a 0.25 mm internal diameter and a 1.00 µm film of base-modified bonded 5% diphenyl/95% dimethylpolysiloxane. Specialized surface treatment reduces interactions that can produce tailing with basic analytes, while the predominantly nonpolar stationary phase supports volatile-organic profiling. The column is suitable for GC and compatible detection methods used in chemical, environmental and forensic analysis. Its specified operating temperature range is −60 to 320 °C for this narrow-bore configuration. The 1.00 µm film differs from other PTA-5 formats with thinner or thicker stationary-phase coatings.
