Answer:No. It contains unmodified silica for normal-phase separations.
Answer:5 µm particles and 60 Å pores.
Answer:250 × 4.6 mm.
Supelco LiChrospher Si-60 analytical column uses unmodified porous silica as a polar stationary phase for normal-phase HPLC. The 5 µm spherical particles have 60 Å pores and are packed in a 250 × 4.6 mm stainless-steel column. Silica surface interactions provide retention for polar compounds under appropriately selected nonaqueous or other validated normal-phase mobile-phase conditions. This column supports analytical work involving classes such as lipids, natural products and related small organic molecules where normal-phase selectivity is valuable. The silica chemistry is distinct from bonded C18 or C8 reversed-phase materials, so retention mechanisms and solvent selection are different. It is a full analytical HPLC column, not a guard cartridge or a preparative column.
