Answer:The stationary phase is aminopropyl-bonded (NH2) silica.
Answer:This version has 3 µm particles, 120 Å pores and a 75 × 4.6 mm column format.
Answer:No. The polar amino phase provides different chromatographic selectivity from reversed-phase C18.
Merck Supelco SUPELCOSIL LC-NH2 is an aminopropyl-bonded silica HPLC column with 3 µm particles and a 75 × 4.6 mm analytical format. The amino functionality offers polar interactions for normal-phase and suitable hydrophilic-interaction separations, providing chemistry that differs substantially from conventional C18 reversed-phase columns. The compact 75 mm length is important when transferring methods that specify a short amino-bonded column. The silica packing has 120 Å pores. This is an analytical amino column, not an anion-exchange resin cartridge or a 150 mm LC-NH2 variant.
