Biochem/physiol ActionsA mouse hepatoma isolated from the BW7756 transplantable hepatoma carried in C57 leaden/J mice (see reference: Differentiation). Will synthesise in appreciable amounts only hepatic proteins that appear early in foetal development. The majority of cells contain at least two and often several nucleoli, fat droplets are rare. A mixture of BW1-J and Fao cells were treated with inactive Sendai Virus to produce hybrids at 1 hybrid colony/50 BW1-J cells.
