Answer:Each gridded mixed-cellulose-esters membrane is 47 mm in diameter with a 0.45 µm nominal pore size.
Answer:Yes. They are individually sealed and sterilized using ethylene oxide.
Answer:The manufacturer configuration contains four boxes of 150 individually packed filters, or 600 filters in total.
S-Pak gridded membrane filters are ready-to-use, sterile membranes for microbiological enumeration and monitoring of water, beverages, and other filterable liquid samples. Each white mixed-cellulose-esters membrane has a 47 mm diameter and a nominal pore size of 0.45 µm. The printed grid aids colony counting after a membrane has been transferred to an appropriate culture medium and incubated under the selected test method. Membranes are individually sealed and protected by a blue separator sheet that limits contact between the membrane and the package film. Ethylene oxide sterilization supports direct use in membrane-filtration microbiology workflows. The hydrophilic structure wets readily with aqueous samples and is intended for recovery and enumeration of microorganisms rather than sterilizing filtration of product liquids. A case contains four boxes of 150 filters. Select the sample volume, nutrient medium, incubation conditions, and acceptance criteria required by the relevant laboratory method; use suitable sterile filtration hardware and handling procedures to prevent environmental contamination.
