NovaSeptum crimped tube protector caps are PVC accessories associated with the NovaSeptum sterile sampling and tubing-disconnection workflow. They serve as protective accessories for crimped tubing during controlled handling after the crimping step. These are protective caps, not the mechanical crimping tool, sampling cannula or septum itself. The caps are specified at approximately 12.7 mm in length and 8 mm in width; selecting the correct cap geometry matters for fit and repeatable placement. Use them only with the intended NovaSeptum configuration and inspect the crimped tubing before fitting a cap. A protector cap cannot substitute for a validated crimp or independently guarantee the integrity of a closed transfer line. Keep caps free from visible contamination and apply them using the site's approved sterile-sampling handling sequence. The commercial supply contains 100 caps, supporting routine replacement between sampling operations and avoiding reuse of a small protective component.
