Answer:The tank vent filter uses a hydrophobic PTFE membrane with a 0.45 µm pore rating.
Answer:It is intended for compatible 2, 3.5 and 10 L tanks associated with Direct-Q, AFS and Simplicity systems.
Answer:The package contains 10 replacement units.
The Merck Milli-Q Millex-FH tank vent filter uses a 0.45 µm hydrophobic PTFE membrane to filter replacement air entering compatible laboratory water storage reservoirs. When water is dispensed from a storage tank, incoming air can carry particles and microorganisms; the vent filter reduces their entry without presenting itself as a liquid dispensing filter. The accessory is designed for integrated 2, 3.5 and 10 L storage tanks used with relevant Direct-Q, AFS and Simplicity water purification systems. Each package contains ten vent filter units. Install a fresh unit at the specified tank vent connection and inspect for improper seating or damage that might allow unfiltered air to bypass the membrane. Maintain the tank and water purification system in line with the equipment's microbiological monitoring and servicing procedures. Hydrophobic PTFE is intended for gas contact at the tank vent, so this component should not be substituted for a hydrophilic final water filter. Confirm the system model and reservoir configuration when ordering replacements.
