Answer:It uses hydrophilic Durapore® PVDF with a 0.45 µm pore size.
Answer:No. This configuration is non-sterile and is supplied in a pack of 50.
Answer:It is suited to approximately 10–100 mL samples, with a maximum inlet pressure of 8.6 bar.
Millex™ PVDF syringe filter is designed for low-protein-binding filtration of aqueous solutions and mild organic samples prior to analytical measurements. This non-sterile Millex-HV configuration uses a hydrophilic 0.45 µm Durapore® polyvinylidene fluoride membrane in a polypropylene housing. The filter diameter is 33 mm, and the effective filtration area is 4.5 cm². It is suited to processing approximately 10–100 mL of sample for HPLC, UV/Vis spectroscopy and general analytical sample preparation. Low protein binding helps preserve analyte recovery when filtering protein-containing samples. A female Luer-Lok® inlet and male Luer-slip outlet enable standard syringe connection, while the yellow identification band distinguishes this hydrophilic PVDF format. Maximum inlet pressure is 8.6 bar, maximum temperature is 45 °C and hold-up volume after air purge is no more than 80 µL. The unit is supplied in a package of 50 non-sterile filters. These characteristics make it an appropriate option for clarifying samples and removing particles without using a sterilizing-grade filter when the primary aim is analytical sample preparation.
