Application Note

The OptiScale-40 Viresolve Prefilter is a compact capsule for small-scale screening of prefiltration conditions before parvovirus-retentive filtration. It contains a cellulose-fiber and inorganic filter-aid medium with 5 cm² filtration area. The female Luer-lock inlet and male Luer-slip outlet simplify connection to suitable laboratory flow systems. This device is intended to remove fouling species and support the selection of prefilter and final-filter combinations in protein purification development. It is not a final virus-retentive membrane and does not establish virus clearance on its own. Use pressure limits, wetting procedures and process-volume guidance suitable for the chosen scale. Keep the OptiScale capsule format distinct from the larger Viresolve Prefilter Pod module.
