Description

General description
Cytiva′s Whatman cellulose acetate membrane filters have very low protein binding, which minimizes sample loss when filtering protein-based aqueous samples.

High chemical resistance membranes

Due to their high chemical resistance, cellulose acetate membrane filters from Cytiva′s business reliably prepare liquid scintillation cocktail for scintillation counter measurement. Additionally, the highly heat resistant Whatman cellulose acetate membranes can filter hot liquids and hot gases.
Features and Benefits

Minimal sample loss in protein-based samples due to low protein binding
Pure cellulose acetate composition, minimizing sample contamination
Hydrophilic, for use with aqueous and alcoholic media
High solvent resistance, particularly to low molecular weight alcohols
High physical strength and a heat resistance up to 180°C
Can be sterilized by most common methods without sacrificing membrane integrity

Other Notes
Field of Use : Any microbiological or biotechnological application, including, but not limited to application of membranes for diagnostic, medical, biological, pharmaceutical, consumer product and food and beverage purposes.
Legal Information
Nitrocellulose Membranes (FFHP, Immunopore and BA membranes)
Sold under license to DE10102744 and foreign equivalents thereof
Whatman is a registered trademark of Cytiva
