Answer:The flexible PVC tubing is 3 m long with a 9.5 mm (3/8 in.) internal diameter.
Answer:No. This PVC tubing is not rated for autoclaving.
Answer:Confirm suitable hose-barb fit, secure clamping, fluid compatibility and the overall pressure or vacuum limits of the system.
The Merck Millipore polyvinyl chloride tubing is a 3 m length of flexible laboratory hose with a 9.5 mm (3/8 in.) internal diameter. It is used as a fluid-path accessory with compatible filtration holders, pumps and laboratory tubing connections that accept this bore. The tubing is a connector, not a membrane filter, and it does not independently remove particles or microorganisms. Select hose barbs and clamps that provide an appropriate seal without cutting or distorting the PVC wall. Route the tubing to prevent kinks, abrasion, accidental disconnection and pooling of retained liquid. Check compatibility with the process liquid and the mechanical limits of the complete assembly rather than relying only on nominal tubing dimensions. This PVC tubing is not autoclavable; use an appropriate approved cleaning or replacement procedure when hygienic or microbiological operation is required. Inspect periodically for stiffness, discoloration or cracks and replace damaged sections before returning the filtration system to service.
