Gateway™ BP Clonase™ II Enzyme Mix catalyzes site-specific recombination between attB-flanked DNA and an attP-containing donor vector to generate Gateway entry clones. This configuration supports 20 reactions. Enzymes and reaction buffer are supplied together in a single premixed formulation, simplifying 10 µL BP reaction setup and reducing pipetting steps. The kit also includes proteinase K solution and a positive-control vector. The BP reaction is commonly used to move PCR products or cloned DNA segments into donor vectors before subsequent transfer into Gateway destination vectors. The system is useful for high-throughput cloning, protein-expression studies, functional genomics, and other workflows that require sequence transfer without conventional restriction digestion and ligation.
