KaryoMAX™ Colcemid™ Solution is a sterile-filtered preparation of colcemid in Hanks’ Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS) for chromosome-analysis and cytogenetic workflows. Colcemid disrupts mitotic spindle formation and arrests dividing cells in metaphase, helping laboratories accumulate metaphase chromosomes for subsequent harvesting, spreading and microscopic analysis. The solution is supplied at 10 µg/mL and can be added to cultures according to the cell type and validated chromosome-preparation protocol. This 10 mL format is convenient for routine cytogenetics laboratories and cell-culture workflows that require controlled metaphase arrest.
