Answer:The stabilized dipeptide L-alanyl-L-glutamine, formulated at 200 mM in 0.85% NaCl.
Answer:Twenty separate 100 mL bottles, or 2 L total, of a 100× supplement.
Answer:The dipeptide is more stable in prepared medium and can reduce unwanted ammonia accumulation from glutamine degradation.
Gibco GlutaMAX Supplement is a sterile-filtered, stabilized alternative to L-glutamine for mammalian cell culture media. The solution contains 200 mM L-alanyl-L-glutamine dipeptide in 0.85% sodium chloride and is formulated as a 100× supplement. This bulk pack contains twenty 100 mL bottles for routine preparation of multiple media batches. The dipeptide improves stability compared with free L-glutamine and reduces formation of degradation-associated ammonia during storage and culture. It can support both adherent and suspension mammalian cell workflows, with the final supplement concentration determined by the basal medium and application. The concentrated stock is not itself a complete culture medium and should be added aseptically to the appropriate nutrient formulation. Its packaging facilitates repeated media preparation without relying on a single large container. For experimental consistency, maintain the prescribed storage conditions and align supplementation with the cell line's established nutrient requirements.
