Conditioning Reagent, for 3500/SeqStudio™ Flex is designed for maintenance of the polymer delivery system in 3500 and SeqStudio Flex genetic analyzers. This ready-to-use conditioning reagent is supplied in a single pouch containing sufficient reagent for one use. It primes the instrument polymer pump, washes the polymer delivery pump between changes of polymer type and supports shutdown and routine maintenance procedures. The pouch incorporates a radio-frequency identification tag in its label so the instrument can track reagent use and expiration. Its fitment is sealed with a plastic film that is removed before installing the pouch on the analyzer. The prepared pouch format avoids manual reagent preparation and provides a dedicated cleaning and priming liquid compatible with the instrument fluidics. It should not be confused with the POP separation polymer used for electrophoretic DNA separation: conditioning reagent services the pump and flow path rather than providing the capillary sieving matrix. Store the pouch at 2–8 °C. Once removed from refrigerated storage, use it within 24 hours. The product is intended for research use and is supplied as one unit.
