Hi-Di™ Formamide is a highly deionized sample solvent used to resuspend DNA sequencing and fragment-analysis products before electrokinetic injection in capillary electrophoresis analyzers. This configuration contains 5 mL, a smaller volume suited to laboratories with lower sample throughput that want to reduce repeated opening and freeze-thaw exposure. The formulation helps maintain low ionic contamination during sample preparation, supporting reproducible injection and electrophoretic separation of labeled DNA fragments. It is supplied as a liquid for research use and is stored frozen at −15 to −25 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and contact with water or salts during aliquoting to preserve performance.
