Answer:It is designed for the Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer.
Answer:One preassembled array contains eight internally uncoated 36 cm capillaries.
Answer:It supports human identification, forensic applications, sequencing and fragment analysis.
3500 Genetic Analyzer 8-Capillary Array, 36 cm is designed for capillary electrophoresis on the Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer for human identification, forensic DNA profiling, sequencing and fragment analysis. This replacement array contains eight internally uncoated capillaries, each 36 cm long, assembled in a single frame for installation as one unit. The preassembled geometry fixes the capillary count and length used by the instrument and avoids handling each separation capillary individually. The 36 cm length is intended particularly for human identification and forensic workflows in which DNA fragments are separated and detected by the genetic analyzer. The array can also support sequencing and fragment-analysis applications on the compatible 3500 platform. Its built-in frame allows the array to be installed as a matched set, preserving the eight-channel instrument configuration. One complete array is supplied per unit. The array ships at room temperature and is stored at ambient temperature, with a stated storage range of 15–30 °C. This is an instrument-specific capillary array rather than a generic electrophoresis consumable: its eight-capillary format belongs to the 3500 instrument, not the 24-capillary 3500xL platform. It is intended for research use rather than diagnostic procedures.
