Answer:The solution is supplied at 10X concentration.
Answer:The concentrated solution is specified at pH 7.4.
Answer:The bottle contains 500 mL.
PBS (10X), pH 7.4 is used to prepare phosphate-buffered saline for mammalian cell-culture and general biological laboratory workflows. This concentrated sterile liquid is supplied at 10X strength in a 500 mL bottle and can be diluted with suitable water to prepare working-strength PBS. The solution has a specified pH of 7.4 and an osmolality of approximately 2800–3100 mOsm/kg at the concentrated formulation. It is sterile filtered and is suitable for washing cells, rinsing culture vessels, preparing reagents and other applications that require a physiologic phosphate-buffered salt solution after dilution. The product ships at room temperature and is stored at 15–30°C under the stated conditions, providing a convenient concentrated stock for laboratories that prepare larger volumes of PBS routinely.
