FoamAway™ Irradiated AOF Antifoaming Agent is a ready-to-use, pre-diluted antifoam for suspension cell-culture and bioreactor processes. The formulation is animal-origin-free and is supplied irradiated in a single-use bag, allowing direct integration into an upstream process without the user needing to prepare a separate antifoam stock. The product should be mixed well before use and should not be filter sterilized. Antifoam addition should be minimized and optimized for the individual cell line, medium, vessel and aeration strategy because excessive antifoam can affect process performance. This configuration provides 0.5 L in a 1 L bag with luer connections for process addition. Store at room temperature under the recommended conditions; shelf life is eight months from irradiation.
