Answer:It is a fluorescent total-protein stain for proteins separated in polyacrylamide gels.
Answer:This configuration contains 200 mL of ready-to-use SYPRO Ruby stain.
Answer:The 200 mL volume is sufficient for about three to four standard minigels using the recommended protocol.
SYPRO™ Ruby Protein Gel Stain is used for fluorescent visualization of total proteins separated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The stain provides a sensitive alternative to conventional visible protein stains and can be detected with standard UV or blue-light transilluminators as well as compatible fluorescence imaging systems. This configuration contains 200 mL of ready-to-use Ruby stain, sufficient for approximately three to four standard minigels under the recommended protocol. It is suitable for one-dimensional and two-dimensional PAGE workflows in which a broad range of proteins must be visualized without relying on antibody-based detection. The ready-to-use formulation avoids dye dilution or preparation steps before staining. When stored protected from light at room temperature, the reagent supports convenient routine use in proteomics, protein expression analysis and gel-based quality-control workflows.
