TSKgel SW-Type guard column provides sample-matrix protection for conventional TSKgel G2000SW, G3000SW, and G4000SW size-exclusion analytical columns with a 7.5 mm internal diameter. This 7.5 × 75 mm cartridge uses 10 µm silica-based particles with a diol-modified surface and a nominal 250 Å pore size. It is a stand-alone stainless-steel guard column, so a separate cartridge holder is not required. Positioning it upstream of the analytical column helps capture particulates and strongly interacting impurities before they compromise size-exclusion performance. The aqueous GFC format supports protein, peptide, and related biomolecule separation workflows. The guard ships in an aqueous phosphate-buffered solution containing sodium sulfate and sodium azide. It belongs to the earlier SW series, not the smaller-particle SWxl family.
