TSKgel SWxl guard column is a dedicated protective column for compatible 7.8 mm ID G2000SWxl, G3000SWxl, G4000SWxl, and QC-PAK GFC analytical columns. This configuration uses a 6 × 40 mm stainless-steel housing filled with 7 µm silica-based packing. Installed ahead of the size-exclusion column, the guard helps intercept contaminants and strongly adsorbing components that could increase pressure, alter peak shape, or reduce column service life. It is intended for aqueous gel-filtration workflows involving proteins, monoclonal antibodies, peptides, and related biological materials. The SWxl guard should be selected for the matching SWxl analytical series rather than substituted with a guard for the older SW column family. The product contains the complete guard column, not loose bulk resin.
