Application Note

TSKgel guard cartridge holder is reusable chromatography hardware designed for Tosoh guard cartridges with a 3.2 mm internal diameter and a 15 mm bed length. It provides a secure fluidic connection between the upstream LC tubing, packed guard cartridge, and analytical column. The holder is used with compatible reversed-phase and other Tosoh cartridge formats, including selected ODS-100V guard elements. Installing a properly matched protective cartridge can reduce buildup of sample particles and strongly retained impurities on the main analytical column. This holder supports repeated cartridge changes without replacing the entire connection assembly. Associated hardware includes connection nuts, ferrules, tubing, and a cartridge-extraction tool. The product is the holder component, not a filled guard cartridge or analytical HPLC column; the compatible packed cartridge is selected separately.
