Waters SunFire C18 is a reversed-phase HPLC analytical column packed with 3.5 µm, 100 Å C18-bonded silica. The 4.6 × 50 mm column format supports relatively short analytical runs when the method provides adequate resolution over the reduced column length. Endcapped C18 chemistry supplies hydrophobic retention for a broad range of small organic molecules and is suitable for method development and routine analysis. The 50 mm column is a complete analytical column rather than a protective pre-column. Its particle size and short bed length should be retained when transferring methods from longer SunFire configurations.
