| Formulation | Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide |
| Preparation | The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 488 under optimal conditions. |
| Concentration | 0.5 mg/mL |
| Storage & Handling | The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C, and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze. |
| Application | ICFC - Quality tested IHC-P - Verified |
| Recommended Usage | Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by intracellular immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.25 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, a concentration range of 1.0 - 10.0 µg/mL is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. * Alexa Fluor® 488 has a maximum emission of 519 nm when it is excited at 488 nm. | Application Notes | We recommend using True-Phos ™ Perm Buffer (Cat. No. 425401) for fixation/permeabilization for use in intracellular staining for flow cytometry (ICFC). For use in immunohistochemistry on FFPE tissues (IHC-P), either Tris-EDTA pH 9.0 Buffer (Cat. No. 422703) or Citrate buffer (Cat. No. 420902) can be used for antigen retrieval. |

| Structure | PTEN is a 403 amino acid protein with a predicted molecular weight of 55 kD. It has a tyrosine phosphatase domain and a C2 domain |
|---|
| Distribution | Cytoplasmic (Inner cellular membrane) and nuclear |
|---|
| Function | PTEN functions as a lipid and protein phosphatase. It is negatively regulated by phosphorylation at the C-terminal domain which leads to proteasomal degradation. |
|---|
| Interaction | P53, PTK2, MAGI3, CSNK2A2, NEDD4, NR3C4, MVP |
