Product Overview Poietics TM Normal Human Preadipocytes (HprAD) are isolated from subcutaneous or visceral fat from normal (non-diabetic) donors. Preadipocytes from diabetic donors are available as a separate product. Pertinent additional donor information, including Body Mass Index (BMI) may be available by contacting Scientific Support. Cryopreserved Poietics TM Normal Human Preadipocytes (HprAD) are guaranteed to contain ≥1 million or ≥4 million (subcutaneous only) cells per ampoule and test positive for adipogenic differentiation. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased. Recommended Media and Reagents PGM TM-2 Preadipocyte Growth Medium-2 BulletKit TM Medium (provides both a proliferation medium and a differentiation medium guaranteed to induce differentiation into mature, functionally active adipocytes; Each bottle of the PGM-2 TM BulletKit TM Medium contains enough differentiation medium to fully differentiate 10 million preadipocytes [10 complete 96-well plates] into mature, functionally active adipocytes). The PGM TM-2 Medium is offered as a BulletKit TM Medium (catalog no. PT-8002) which includes both the basal medium and the necessary supplements for both proliferation and differentiation of preadipocytes. The basal medium (PGM TM-2 Basal Medium; catalog no. PT-8202) and the necessary supplements (PGM TM-2 SingleQuot TM Kit; catalog no. PT-9502) can also be purchased individually. Lonza guarantees the performance of Clonetics TM /Poietics TM cells only if appropriate Clonetics TM /Poietics TM media and reagents are used exclusively and the recommended storage and use protocols are followed. Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees.
