Answer:NaH₂PO₄·2H₂O, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate.
Answer:EMPROVE EXPERT with Ph. Eur., BP, ChP, USP and JPE references.
Answer:No. It is the solid monobasic phosphate salt used to prepare buffer solutions.
Merck sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate is a pharmaceutical-grade inorganic phosphate salt for preparing buffered solutions and other controlled bioprocess formulations. The material has the formula NaH₂PO₄·2H₂O, CAS number 13472-35-0 and a molecular weight of 156.01 g/mol. Its EMPROVE EXPERT quality grade supports use in downstream biomolecule purification buffers and liquid formulations where documented material quality, ionic composition and reproducibility matter. This monobasic phosphate component can be combined with suitable dibasic phosphate salts to establish selected phosphate buffer pH values. It meets the relevant Ph. Eur., BP, ChP, USP and JPE compendial quality references. The solid material is suitable for weighing and dissolving into process-specific aqueous solutions. Package size depends on the ordered suffix and should not be confused with a ready-to-use phosphate buffer.
