The Merck Supelco manu-CART 55 mm cartridge holder is reusable chromatography hardware that secures compatible short LiChroCART HPLC cartridges within a liquid chromatography flow path. The holder is intended for LiChroCART 55-2, 55-3 and 55-4 mm cartridge formats, providing the mechanical assembly needed to install these packed cartridges and form an appropriate fluidic connection. Choose the correct cartridge dimensions and manufacturer-compatible fittings before installation, and check alignment and seal condition to prevent leaks or damage under pressure. Handle the cartridge and holder using the specified assembly procedure; avoid overtightening components that could deform sealing surfaces. Verify leak tightness and flow stability with suitable mobile phase before sample analysis. The holder does not contain the chromatographic stationary phase and cannot perform a separation on its own.
