The PerkinElmer TurboMatrix needle seal assembly is a replacement mechanical sealing component for compatible headspace sample-head assemblies. During headspace operation, the sample-transfer needle must interface with a gas-tight seal while the vial is pressurized and analyte vapor moves through the sampling path. A deteriorated needle-seal assembly may contribute to leakage, unstable pressurization or inconsistent transfer of volatile compounds. This replacement assembly is supplied without O-rings; the corresponding needle-seal O-rings are separate consumables. It therefore should not be mistaken for a complete headspace needle, a vial closure, or a maintenance kit containing all sealing elements. When installing the assembly, inspect the needle-contact interface and mating surfaces and fit the appropriate O-rings as required by the sampler configuration. Verify system pressure retention and sampling performance after reassembly. Correct installation is relevant to reproducible analysis of headspace volatiles in environmental, pharmaceutical and industrial samples.
