7500 Real Time PCR Systems Spectral Calibration Kit II is designed for spectral calibration of the Applied Biosystems 7500 Real-Time PCR System using fluorescent dye standards. The kit contains three preloaded, sealed optical 96-well reaction plates representing Cy3™, Cy5™ and Texas Red™ dyes. These plates allow the instrument to acquire pure-dye fluorescence spectra and establish the multicomponent information used to distinguish individual dye signals when several dyes are excited in a reaction mixture. The preloaded format simplifies calibration during instrument installation or subsequent maintenance without requiring users to prepare separate dye standards. This is a spectral-calibration kit for the 7500 system, not a general amplification reagent or a calibration kit for an unrelated instrument. The package contains one kit. It ships on dry ice and should be stored at −15 to −25 °C protected from light; the stated shelf life is 12 months from delivery. It is intended for research use rather than diagnostic procedures.
