Thermo Scientific ATP Solution supplies adenosine 5′-triphosphate at a defined 100 mM concentration for ATP-dependent molecular biology reactions. The nucleotide is provided in a 0.25 mL aqueous preparation adjusted to approximately pH 7.3–7.5 with sodium hydroxide and has greater than 99% HPLC-confirmed purity. ATP is a substrate or energy donor in workflows such as in vitro transcription, RNA amplification, nucleic-acid ligation and phosphorylation, depending on the enzyme system. Prepare working dilutions in nuclease-free vessels with reaction-compatible water or buffer; account for the solution's concentration when establishing final nucleotide ratios. Reaction performance also depends on magnesium availability, enzyme activity and the presence of other nucleotides. The ATP stock is not a four-component NTP mix, a dNTP mixture or an ATP detection reagent. Store at −20 °C and use aliquoting or controlled thawing practices that minimize handling contamination.
