Anode Buffer Container (ABC), for 3500/SeqStudio™ Flex is designed for providing ready-to-use 1X running buffer at the anode side of capillary electrophoresis on Applied Biosystems 3500 and SeqStudio Flex series genetic analyzers. Each disposable container installs directly on the instrument and supports sequencing and fragment-analysis applications without manual preparation of anode buffer. An RFID tag incorporated into the label allows the instrument to track consumable information during operation. The top of the container is heat-sealed with plastic film for storage and shipment; the film is removed before the container is installed. This package contains four individual anode buffer containers. The 1X running buffer forms part of the electrical circuit required to drive fluorescently labeled DNA fragments through the capillary array and polymer matrix during electrophoresis. The ready-to-use format reduces preparation variability and simplifies routine maintenance of the capillary-electrophoresis fluidics system. Store the containers at 2–8 °C until ready for use and follow the expiration date on the label. This configuration is intended specifically for 3500 and SeqStudio Flex genetic-analyzer workflows rather than general laboratory electrophoresis. The container is not a general-purpose laboratory buffer bottle; its shape, RFID label and interface are matched to the instrument position used by the anode electrode. This lets the analyzer monitor the consumable while supplying a defined ready-to-run electrophoresis buffer.
