Thermo Scientific™ 3 M Sodium Acetate Solution at pH 5.2 is a nuclease-free molecular biology reagent used to support DNA and RNA precipitation. The concentrated sodium acetate provides ions that help neutralize nucleic acid phosphate charges during alcohol-based precipitation workflows. It is membrane filtered through a 0.22 µm filter and supplied as five individually packaged 1 mL portions. The pH-adjusted, ready-to-use formulation minimizes preparation of small volumes of precipitation reagent in routine nucleic acid purification. The solution is suitable for research workflows requiring consistent ionic conditions during nucleic acid recovery and is stored at 2–8 °C.
