Answer:It uses a phenyl-hexyl bonded phase on ethylene-bridged hybrid particles.
Answer:Phenyl-hexyl chemistry provides complementary interactions and selectivity for aromatic and polyaromatic compounds.
Answer:The column has 1.7 µm particles, 130 Å pores, a pH range of 1–12 and a pressure rating up to 18,000 psi.
Waters ACQUITY UPLC BEH Phenyl is a reversed-phase UPLC analytical column with a phenyl-hexyl bonded phase on 1.7 µm ethylene-bridged hybrid particles. Its 130 Å pores and 100 × 2.1 mm bed support high-efficiency separations where aromatic and polyaromatic analytes benefit from selectivity complementary to C18. The endcapped BEH stationary phase combines hydrophobic and aromatic interactions with a broad specified pH range of 1–12. The UPLC column is rated to 18,000 psi and incorporates eCord identification technology. One analytical column is included.
