The Waters ACQUITY UPLC Peptide BEH C18 column is designed for high-efficiency reversed-phase separation of peptides in proteomics and protein characterization workflows. Its 300 Å wide-pore bridged ethyl hybrid particles provide access for larger peptide analytes, while the 1.7 µm particle size enables high-resolution separations with suitable UHPLC equipment. The analytical bed is 2.1 mm in inner diameter and 150 mm long, with a peptide-oriented molecular-weight range of approximately 1,000–30,000 Da. This column supports peptide mapping, characterization of digestion products and analysis of synthetic peptide mixtures. Gradient elution with water and organic mobile phases is commonly used to distribute peptides by hydrophobicity. Select injection load, gradient slope and mobile-phase additives to maintain peak shape and mass spectrometry compatibility where required. Verify instrument pressure capability and low-dispersion plumbing before using a long, sub-2-µm column. It is not an intact-protein size-exclusion column; the product is supplied as one UPLC peptide C18 analytical column.
