Waters DisQuE QuEChERS d-SPE Cleanup Tubes prepare extracts for multiresidue analysis of foods and agricultural samples. Each 15 mL tube contains 900 mg anhydrous magnesium sulfate, 150 mg primary-secondary amine (PSA) sorbent and 150 mg C18 sorbent. Magnesium sulfate helps remove residual water, PSA reduces selected polar matrix components and C18 provides additional lipid cleanup in fatty samples. Transfer the appropriate portion of an organic extract produced during the QuEChERS extraction stage, disperse the sorbents by mixing and centrifuge before collecting the cleaned supernatant. The tubes support dispersive solid-phase extraction workflows associated with the citrate-buffered CEN method. Check pesticide recovery and matrix effects for each commodity, particularly where nonpolar analytes may interact with C18. These are cleanup tubes for prepared extracts, not the initial sample-extraction salt packets. The package supplies fifty individual tubes.
