Answer:It uses hydrophilic-interaction chromatography (HILIC) with a bonded amide stationary phase.
Answer:The column measures 2.1 mm × 150 mm and contains 1.7 µm BEH particles with 130 Å pores.
Answer:The operating pH range is 2–11 and the maximum pressure is 18,000 psi (1240 bar).
ACQUITY UPLC BEH Amide Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk is designed for hydrophilic-interaction chromatography of very polar analytes, including sugars, carbohydrates and metabolites that are poorly retained by conventional reversed-phase columns. This 2.1 mm × 150 mm ACQUITY UPLC column uses spherical 1.7 µm bridged-ethylene-hybrid particles with 130 Å pores and a chemically bonded amide stationary phase. Trifunctional bonding provides a chemically stable polar surface, while low silanol activity helps deliver consistent selectivity for challenging polar mixtures. The column supports UPLC and UHPLC workflows at up to 18,000 psi (1240 bar), and its stated operating pH range is 2–11. The packing has a 185 m²/g surface area and 12% carbon load, is not endcapped, and is classified as USP L68. It is supplied as a single column with eCord functionality and Parker-style endfittings. The 150 mm bed length and 1.7 µm particle size support high-efficiency separation of closely related polar compounds; amide chemistry is particularly useful when retention and discrimination of carbohydrate species are required.
