Waters 20-position extraction manifold supports parallel solid-phase extraction workflows in which sample conditioning, loading, washing and elution are performed under controlled vacuum. The complete manifold includes a collection rack sized for 13 × 100 mm tubes, allowing eluates from up to 20 extraction cartridges to be collected in separate vessels. A vacuum gauge and adjustment and release valves help control applied suction and cartridge flow rates. Long needle tips direct eluate into receiving tubes and help limit splashing or unintended transfer between positions. Install compatible SPE cartridges and collection tubes, connect an appropriate external vacuum source, and check that each cartridge connection is sealed before applying vacuum. Balance flow rates across positions, particularly when sample matrices have differing viscosities. Release the vacuum before changing collection vessels or opening the manifold. The 13 × 100 mm rack distinguishes this configuration from manifold kits supplied with different collection-tube sizes.
