Answer:A stopcock valve with a long needle tip and female Luer inlet for a compatible Sep-Pak extraction manifold.
Answer:Twenty valve assemblies per package.
Answer:No. It is a manifold flow-control accessory, not an extraction sorbent or cartridge.
Waters long needle valves are individual flow-control accessories for compatible Sep-Pak solid-phase extraction vacuum manifolds. The assembly combines a stopcock-style valve, a long needle tip and a female Luer inlet, allowing a cartridge connection and localized control of liquid movement at a manifold position. This format is useful when handling multiple SPE samples, where consistent valve position and flow management help maintain orderly conditioning, loading, washing and elution procedures. Each package contains 20 replacement valve assemblies. Verify compatibility with the manifold cover and mating connections before installation. Inspect the valve for cracks, blocked passages and damaged fittings, seat it correctly in the manifold position and check for leakage when vacuum is applied. Avoid excessive force on the plastic or needle components. Use the valve to regulate the manifold flow pathway in accordance with the established extraction method; the accessory does not itself determine sorbent selectivity or extraction recovery.
